Sim Haven
|
Offers a large collection of houses complete with families. Great FAQ, especially for new players.
Last update was in May 2001. Hosted on Homestead.
Warning: Some pages have background music.
Pasiphae says, "This is totally off-topic, but considering my namesake I have to confess that I
find myself intrigued by Angie's handle, 'cowloverssimgirl'. Mom insists that I was
named after the moon, Pasiphae, and she only learned about the character from Greek mythology
after I was born. That's her story and she's sticking to it!"

Sim Homes

SIMLANE.com

Visit this site when you have time to chase around the internal links and get the hang of it; it's a bit of a maze.
Appears to be intended to showcase web site design talents of its creators. The site is graphically interesting
but navigation is confusing and it's not clear what is hosted where. The art gallery is under the SIMply Dariene
link, and includes downloadable paintings as well as links to a commercial site that sells art prints.
Offers a Windows-only neighborhood manager program, but the presentation doesn't make it clear what the program does.
Hosts The Simstones, where you can
download characters objects, and houses from The Flintstones.
Caddy says, "They use up two-thirds of the screen for blank frames, with the content and navigation in
the tiny center frame. Then they force you stay in the framed environment. If there is a reason for this, I don't get it."

Sim Links (Serene)
|
Clothes and faces for adult females, with carefully crafted original clothing styles. Some objects. Moved from Homestead to Geocities in July 2001.
Carla says, "Stylish, without being weird."
Caddy says, "Will the last site leaving Homestead please turn off the lights? OK, seriously, I really like Sim Links's style. It could use some back links, though."

Sim Love
|
Several collections of objects in all categories. Some cartoon themes, and themes for all the major western
holidays. Massive collection of artwork and decorative items. Some mild adult content; well marked as such.
We have the honor to host SimLove here on Moon Sims.
Entry updated 13 Dec 01. Corrected URL. Oops.

Moved to Simfreaks. Look there for stuff

playing The Sims.

Sim Mayhem!
|
Luckycat's objects and houses. Recolored furniture. Nice artwork. Several colors
of lava lamps. Black medicine cabinet and black door. Some houses. Hosted on Tripod,
so it has that odd user interface that requires two steps to download a zip file.

Simming it Up
|
As of August 14, 2001, appears to be under construction. Got an ftp directory here. Hosted on Tripod.

Lots and lots of links presented with a dramatic web noir flair. Links are nicely arranged in alphabetical order with
little buttons to help you find what you're looking for. The previews section shows some of nicest finds on the net.
Opened in December 2001(?).

Simobiliaria
a.k.a. Inmobiliaria Sim
|
This is a temporary location for Simobiliaria, who moved here from The Sims Resource. Disk space limitations
prevent them from uploading their objects; however you can still view and download the houses and find links
to the sites that provide some of the goodies you will need to outfit them.
Their specialty is beautiful houses. Available in both InglZs and Espa–ol. Creada en Espa–a porÊNosotros Dos.

Sim Ones
|
This very peculiar web site does not work with Netscape; use MSIE if you must visit. You also might want to
turn off Javascript before visiting. Hosts the body meshes for the Big Girls project, which require a bit of
extra work to install. Read the instrutions carefully.

Simorphor
|
Large catalog of original items that look great in the game. Famous for their beautiful water gardens.
Made some significant break-throughs in designing objects for The Sims; notable for full-length glass
walls. Excellent tutorials.
Pasiphae says, "You might not think of water gardens as Livin' Luna, but they are a key part of the basic
theme for the Luna City cavern! Watercourses and water plants are a key part of the life support system
humidifying and refreshing the air in our rather subtropical climate. Plants like these thrive year round
here in the cavern."
Carla says, "Check out the original skins! Thanks to Simorphor your sims don't all have to look like they
come from Iowa. Let's have a Bali-themed party; I want an excuse to wear a cheongsam!"
Caddy says, "Outstanding design for the web site! The pull-down quick-navigation menu is backed up with
a thorough set of plain HTML links that enable you to get around with Javascript turned off. The server is
very responsive, and you can tell that the simsmaster designed the site for the user rather than indulging in a
demonstration of bleeding-edge web tricks. And NO FRAMES! Hooray!"

SimOutlets
|
Scroll WAY down the page to find the links to the 14 download
pages.
Caddy says, "Be careful! The object files aren't zipped, so
you will need to use yor web browsers 'download to disk' feature when
you click on things. Lots of broken links and 'File not found'
errors."

|
SIMpatico
|
As it says on the home page: Skins, walls, floors, houses, furniture. A very nice
collection of clothing for all characters, notable for both orginiality of style and
meticulous shading. None of us were able to download anything, though; every link to
a zip file returned a 404 File Not Found error. Launches a spam gun that continuously opens new
advertising windows on your screen.
Pasiphae says, "Darn. I can't tell you what's there until I can download something. It looks like
simsmaster Lauren J. Harwood-Westgate is working on moving the site right now, so I'll keep checking."
Caddy says, "I had the best luck accessing SIMpatico in the early morning. Other times it seems like
freehomepage gets jugged up and loses packets. If you can't get there directly, try sneaking the maid's entrance at
http://simpatico.topcities.com/index.html.
Keep up with finding and closing the advertising windows or they will stack up and crash your browser."
Carla says, "I like to visit SIMpatico just to read the descriptions of the outfits! Did you know that the
Sim City High School's team is called the Flaming Flamingos?"

Sim Paradise Japon
|
Splash page just provides some ads and a link to the
real Sim Paradise Japon web site. Which in turn takes you to another page that links to a page that comes
up blank due to HTML erros. Here's a direct link to the the menu and the main
frame. The main page loads a background object, but otherwise comes up blank. Looks like a style sheet
error. Maybe you will have better luck. Caddy! Help!
Caddy says, "Page info says this site was updated today (16 Sep 01), so you might have happened to
visit while someone was working on it. Yes, it looks like extensive errors in HTML and style sheets. Try it
again using MSIE; that might work."

Sim Playhouse
|
Lots of objects, especially notable for zoo and barnyard animals. If your sims are just dying to have
an elephant or a killer whale, this is the place. Water floor tile for the killer whale and
dophins. Animals eat Simporphor's llama food.
Coffee pot offers your sims a serious caffeine rush. Catering table and matching end table have an
American flag motif. Hospital beds. Water walls, floors, bed, lights, door, dresser, and table for
your aquatic sims. Realistically animated bubble-bath tubs. Animated babies that never grow up.
Several pages of walls and floors. Also a few skins.
Warning: Animated masthead image on the front page is nearly 2 megabytes.

Pasiphae says, "What? We missed your site? Our notes are out of date? Well then,
please write to us!
We are getting buried in spam, so we are giving up on posting an email address for updates to
the Moon Sims Links List. Instead of sending email to us, please let us know about new sites
by posting a note in the
Moon Sims Yahoo group.
"We won't add sites that are primarily oriented toward an adult audience or that overtly
promote the use of illegal drugs; and of course I reserve the right to exercise my own discretion
about whatever else comes to mind.
