Candace is the Technical Council Administrator of the Artemis Project's Office of Space Flight. She is also on the Electronic Communications Technical Committee as the Web Team Lead. She also is working as Membership Renewal Lead.
Candace has had 7 years of experience in operations research with responsibilities ranging from senior program analyst to detailed technical analysis. She was the co-founder of two regional chapters in the National Space Society and graphics editor of an NSS regional newsletter.
After graduating with a B.S. in Systems Science (Scientific option), Candace worked at the Eglin Air Force Base as a civil service employee in the Armament Lab's Engineering Division and Munitions Division from 1982-1989. She went to night classes from 1982-1987 to recieve her M.S. in Systems Analysis (Scientific option), a blend of engineering, computer programming, and computer systems analysis.
In 1989 she had to retire on disability.
In 1990 she moved to Central Florida to take the part-time job of Engineering Technician at the University of Central Florida's Center for Electro-Optics Research.
In 1991 she was hired as a contractor to continue her work. In 1992 she again had to stop working. She was now on total disability. She left the Central Florida area to return to Northwest Florida.
She moved to the Tampa Bay Florida Metropolitan Area area in mid-1995. She became involved with the Artemis Project in February 1996.
Candace's personal interests and hobbies include space development; computer programming; Florida wildlife photography; artificial intelligence; writing for fun (rarely done); and listening to most kinds of music.
She now lives in the Tampa Bay, Florida, metropolitan area.
