Webcam images

Images from a color QuickCam are captured once every 60 seconds and uploaded to the web server. To view the images with a Java applet that reloads new images every 50 seconds, go to the following web page:

http://www.asi.org/adb/09/08/webcam.html

If you have problems using the Java applet, or are otherwise unable to use that page, you can use the following page that tells your browser to refresh the image every 50 seconds:

http://www.asi.org/adb/09/08/nonjavawebcam.html

If you are unable to use either of those pages, you can view the current image at:

http://www.asi.org/adb/09/08/webcam.jpg

You will need to use your browser's "Reload" button to get the latest image.

To connect your MP3 player to the real-time broadcast, point the player at http://www.asi.org:8000 or if your browser is configured to launch your MP3 player, click on the following link:

http://www.asi.org:8000

If you are using Winamp, you can use the following instructions to configure your browser to launch Winamp automatically. Similar instructions can be used for other players and platforms.

Browser Configuration for Winamp

Configuring your web browser to automatically launch Winamp with these links should be easy. First off, make sure Winamp has registered the .PLS file extension (Open Winamp, go the the Preferences, Setup Tab, and make sure PLS is selected in the listbox). Next, choose your browser:
  • Internet Explorer 3.x or 4.x.
When you click on a link to a server, a dialog should open up asking whether to open or save. Select open and uncheck the option 'Always ask for this type of file'. Nothing more is required.

  • Netscape Navigator 3.x or 4.x
When you click on a link to a server, a dialog should pop up asking whether to save, cancel, or to pick an app to open with. Click on the latter button. When a box opens up for you to specify the program, type the location and executable of your Winamp (usually C:\program files\winamp\winamp.exe).

Webcast Sponsors

Artemis Society International serves as the meeting ground and educational forum for The Artemis Project. The Society was formed in August 1994 to provide an open door to all supporters and participants in the Artemis Project's quest to establish a permanent, self-supporting lunar community. The Society is a non-profit foundation incorporated in the State of Alabama, USA.
CyberTeams provides workflow-based applications for web site and web content management. These products work equally well on the World Wide Web and corporate Intranets because they were specifically designed and created to be used with users' web browsers as the application client. And, because CyberTeams participates in web standards organizations, like "World Wide Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning" (WebDAV), we can quickly integrate new standards and technologies into our products.
