See the June, 1997 issue of Time Digital Magazine for "Mickey on the Moon", a brief and somewhat irreverent article about The Artemis Project and Artemis Society International. The title refers to the Artemis Project's plan to use the entertainment value of a trip to the moon to fund the Project.
Author Jeff Moores also refers to founder Greg Bennett's aerospace credentials and to NASA's highly visible Lunar Prospector project, designed to locate and measure lunar resources, as further evidence that "the whole (colonization) idea has an air of legitimacy." ASI President Boise Pearson is quoted comparing Disney's projected annual entertainment revenue to the needs of the Artemis project, providing the author's tie-in to the world's most famous mouse.
