Antennas and Cameras on the LEO Assembly Fixture
We could have quite a large communications
dish on the Low Earth Orbit servicing facility, a Ku-band antenna
about 12 feet in diameter, as well as S-band and UHF antennas similar to the
ones proposed for the LTV. The Ku-band
antenna would point toward a satellite in geosynchronous orbit. There is
the option to have another Ku-band antenna, which would point at the
moon.
External cameras and lights would also be useful. If we develop that
camera-on-a-stick robot arm for the LTV, we can make more copies of them
for the orbital servicing facility.
